Dollar General Expanding Again

Dollar General is accelerating its expansion again in 2015, says Retailing Today. In one of the retail industry’s most aggressive new store expansion plans, they added 700 new stores in 2014 and plan to add 730 new stores and remodeling 875 more in 2015.
Net sales increased 9.9% in 2014, with growth driven by the store’s strength across all categories, particularly candy and snacks.
