New Student Housing Coming to Knoxville

The Knox, a new apartment complex located at 1505 Clinch Ave., is being developed by student housing developer/owner-operator Campus Advantage. The complex, which will open to serve students in fall 2016, will feature 2 buildings, garage parking and 9 floors of residential space. The 382-bed community will offer 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom apartments.
According to President & CEO Mike Peter in Campus Advantage’s press release, the company worked closely with the city’s Historic Preservation Office and the Historic Fort Sanders Neighborhood Association to develop a project “that will be a win-win for the neighborhood and the campus alike.”
The fully furnished apartments will feature a 42-inch TV in the living room, wood-style flooring in the common spaces, in-unit washer and dryer, cable, internet and more.
rebusinessonline.com says that common-space amenities will include a cyber cafe and computer bar, lounge with fireplace and large-screen TVs and fitness center. Students will also have access to a roof deck with grills, water features, a theater area and hammocks.
Pinecrest Partners will provide equity for the project.
